International Collectors Fair Utrecht, the Netherlands November 20 & 21, 2010

Secrets out of the kitchen cupboard, Cartoon exhibit and the winners of the Dutch Collector Award

This November 20th and 21st the Jaarbeurs Convention Centre in Utrecht will devoted to the biggest vintage event in Europe. Divided over five halls and two thousand stands, thousands of uniquely different collections will be on view and for sale. This event attracts more visitors every year from all over the world. To find your way around, the halls are divided into special sections featuring Antiques, Books, Toys, Music, Glass, Archaeological finds, Art, Design, Fifties etc.

The Collector’s Fair remains the best place to meet fellow collectors. The many cosy terraces offer plenty of seating places to show each other your new acquisitions or exchange tips, ideas and gossip. As usual the Collector’s Fair is held in conjunction with the Mega Record & CD Fair. Heaven on earth for lovers of pop music with an enormous choice of records, CDs, DVDs and other pop memorabilia.

Kitchen Secrets
Dutch collector of old kitchen tools and culinary expert Caroline Verhoeven is one of the special guests at the fair. From her collection of vintage tools she will exhibit around 200 examples of durable kitchen ware. Besides the collection Verhoeven will bake special Dutch December cookies and is available for more information about her books and valuation of vintage kitchen tools.

Cartoon special
French collector Manuel Decker collects everything to do with cartoons. At the fair he will show around 200 cartoon album covers from his impressive collection like TinTin, Asterix, Robert Crumb, Disney etc. His complete collection can be viewed in his book "Disques et Bande Dessinée" which is available at the exhibit. Decker will be around all weekend for more information, autographs and valuation.

Dutch Collector Award 2010
For the second time the winners of the Dutch Collector Award will be announced at the Museum Plaza during the event. There are winners in 4 different categories: boys and girls up to 18 years and men and women from 18 years old.

Free gift wrap service
With only 30 more shopping days before Christmas, everyone is looking out for suitable presents for their loved ones. Of course the Collectors Fair is a good place for an original Christmas gift. To add to the festive feeling of this season, visitors can have their Christmas purchases wrapped for free. A special team is ready to assist you on Saturday and Sunday from 12 o'clock in hall 9.
